community art project ✨ so i repurposed the former diy chalkboards from the outdoor classrooms at secord elementary school into five different magickal , nature scenes for the kids + community to paint as a free art activity at the 2022 fun fair . some of the teachers + i donated a bunch of paints , + i spent a couple of hours per board with prep + drawing . aside from the 45 minutes of homophobic harassment from a bunch of pre-teen boys the first evening ( drawing the moonsunflower ) , the rest of the project was quite lovely . the following day i went to the school yard earlier + some of the littles from the after school programs pulled up a stump to watch me draw . the next day i overheard them telling their friends how they helped me . it was wickedcute .
